As a part of it’s efforts to disseminate news, views, comments and analysis to communities across the world, the management of Bamba 1 Communication Services has launched a new online radio station.
The new station, named and styled, Bamba 1 Radio, has been a long time dream of the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Lassana Bamba’s passion for broadcasting began when he was a child in Liberia; something he considers “A dream come true.”
In Liberia, his favorite television newscaster, Kwami Clament, was a motivation to his career. “He motivated me so much that, I literally sat around my childhood friends, held a stick like a mic and pretended to be a newscaster.”
Prior to his arrival in the United States, Lassana Bamba worked for the Liberia Broadcasting System as a radio program producer and Assistant Language Coordinator.
He produced Focus on Development, Indigenous Song of Liberia, and the Mandingo Lingo Program.
Lassana Bamba also reported breaking news for two of ELBC’s leading programs, News Line and Info-mix respectively.
As a way of keeping this passion alive and contributing to information dissemination, Bamba 1 Radio will host live talk shows, interviews and coverage of major events around the world. The station is at the moment conducting a live test broadcast on its home at www.bamba1news.com.
Regular programming is scheduled to begin following the arrival of some technical materials that are essential to broadcasting.
Programming details and names of announcers will be published following the test broadcast.
The company is encouraging listeners to call 1888-852-6773 and send in feedback about the reception of the station.
According to the management of Bamba 1 Communication Services, the radio station will be accessible through applications on Apple and Android phones within the next three weeks.
