According to Mattie Stepanek, “Unity is strength… when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved,” whether this is true or false depends on the analyzer. But the longstanding relations that members of the Minnesota Mandingo Association and the Wisconsin Mandingo Association of Milwaukee enjoyed told it all.
The unity that existed between the sister organizations flourished to a point that they were always at each other’s doorstep whenever their was a problem, but as 2015 settles in, that cordial relation is nowhere to be seen.
Is it true that ethnic Mandingos are good beginners, but not good accomplishers? Or is it the leadership structure that is incompetent to restore the hope of people they serve?
To answer these questions and more, Bamba 1 Radio has invited Mr. Kafumba S. Kromah and Mr. Siaka Toure, presidents of MMA and WIMAM, to respectively tell the audience what is unfolding in their communities.
Two former community leaders, Morris M. Kromah of Milwaukee and Mohamed Enzah Dorley of Minnesota, have been invited to form part of the discussion. Today they will be telling the listeners what they did different from their predecessors.
