Welcome to the second and final edition of our interview with Bangalee Trawally, President of the Federation of Liberian Mandingo Associations in the USA (FELMAUSA), Mr. Trawally spoke to Lassana Bamba at his home in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.
According to Bangalee Trawally, uniting the Mandingo community is his first priority following numerous disturbances within the largest Mandingo association in the world.
Mandingo is one of the largest tribes in West Africa. Due to lack of political interest in government functions in West Africa, they have been repeatedly targeted by non-Mandingoes in the sub-region, especially in Guinea and Liberia. The most recent attach was in N’Zerekore, Guinea, and this attack left nearly 60 people dead.
