On January 18, 2015, we invited Philip Turle, deputy editor in chief at Radio France International and also a lecturer in journalism at Sorbonne University in Paris. He is also a political commentator for several French television stations, including TV5 Monde, France 24 and LCI. He spoke to us on issues of diverse importance.
Also on the program was the Association of Liberian Journalists in the Americas which has been in existence for a while. From the lenses of Liberians, ALJA is a well respected organization which plays cardinal part in reinforcing the Press Union of Liberia, PUL. Disintegration of the organization doesn’t mean well for press freedom in that West African State.
Appearing on part 2 of Community and You, ALJA’s Acting Chairman, Moses Sandy, enlightened the community on what led to the crumbling of the association in 2004.
