The General Assembly which is the highest organ of Felmausa convened a working session today, Sunday 7th July 2013 at a Hotel in Philadelphia to deliberate the issues surrounding the candidacy of presidential aspirant Mr. Bangalee Trawally of Minnesota MN following the boycott of his chapter and its refusal to grant him to proceed with his candidacy.
Speakers upon speakers spoke about the need to keep and maintain the unity of this noble organization. President Mohamed Bility stressed the importance of Felmausa constitutional provisions that grant preeminence to Felmausa’s constitution over state’s constitution whenever a conflict arises.
As the highest body, the delegates opted to resolve BT’s candidacy through a democratic process of vote. The outcome of the voting process showed an overwhelming support for BT to stay in the process as candidate for President. It can be recalled that during Presidential debate held Saturday at ACANA, Presidential candidate Bangaly Trawally presented to the general membership copy of receipts that showed him to be financially cleared off with MMA.
Also, Mr. BT informed the body that his energetic campaign team “PREPARES” will work with all to restore the unity of the federation. More developments to unfold soon! Stay tuned.
