Three leading Ivorian musicians have arrived in Minnesota to entertain the African community. The musicians led by superstar, Affou Keita, will tonight perform at the Miracle Empowerment Center in the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.
According to superstar Affou Keita, who currently has a commanding voice in the West African region, she encouraged Korotoum Kamara, and Mami Miss to join her on the trip to Minnesota in order to make this occasion more colorful than previous ones.
Also in the Twin Cities are Affou’s guitarist, Moussa Kone and her manager, Jose Toure. The team of musicians arrived on November 29, 2013 at 12:07 p.m. at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport in Bloomington, Minnesota.
They were welcomed by officials of MMA, The Minnesota Mandingo Association, including the organization’s President, Mohamed Dorley.
A four car convoy carrying the musicians from the airport, headed by Yayah Vantango Komara took off to the home of Ahmed Konneh in Minneapolis.The musicians had lunch at the home of the Konnehs and immediately headed to Brooklyn Park.
Their visit in the Twin Cities is a part of an agreement between Affou Keita and The Minnesota Mandingo Association to entertain the African community. Bamba 1 News spoke to them.
